Coffee Connection provides a casual environment to talk with AYC staff, board members, and ambassadors, and to get to know one another over a cup of joe and breakfast tacos. You’ll have the opportunity to learn more about AYC, Committees, and how to get more involved in the organization.

Special Guest - US Congressman Llyod Doggett will be attending the August Coffee Connection!

US Congressman Lloyd Doggett represents communities from Austin to San Antonio. He serves as Chairman of the Heath Subcommittee on the House Ways & Means Committee and on the House Budget Committee. Rep. Doggett works to protect our healthcare system by putting patients first and cutting out-of-pocket costs.

Rep. Doggett is a sponsor of the American DREAM Act, which would create a path to lawful permanent residence and eventually U.S. citizenship for those that meet a set of educational or work criteria. He believes comprehensive immigration reform will grow the Texas economy and will create more small business startups and graduating students.

Rep. Doggett believes we can no longer continue to ignore the critical challenges facing Texas, our country, and our planet caused by climate change, which is why he is sponsoring the Green New Deal and H.R.9, the Climate Change Now Act. He believes that encouraging the expansion of renewable energy is vital for protecting our world, strengthening our national security, and boosting our economy.
