About Community First! Village
Community First! Village is a 51-acre master planned community that provides affordable, permanent housing and a supportive community for men and women coming out of chronic homelessness. A development of Mobile Loaves & Fishes, this transformative residential program exists to love and serve our neighbors who have been living on the streets, while also empowering the surrounding community into a lifestyle of service with the homeless.

At Community First! Village volunteers are at the heart of everything they do. We ask if you would please consider donating $10 to support dignified income for current and future residents and purchase project supplies. This serve event may entail laying pathways, harvesting our gardens, tending the chicken coop, dry landscaping yards of our micro-homes, etc. Community First! asks that everyone come wearing the proper clothing to ensure a safe day at work and require that each volunteer wear long pants, a short sleeve shirt, close toed shoes (boots HIGHLY recommended) and always recommend a hat, bug spray and/or sunscreen for the outdoors. You are more than welcome to bring their own pair of work/gardening gloves to the serve day as well, should you not need or want them after, they will gladly take them as donation! Please bring your own water bottle as they do not provide them, though they do have canteens to refill the ones you bring.
