Community Works Coordinator
The Community Works Coordinator is an integral part of the Community Works Art House Program and other micro-enterprise programs at Mobile Loaves & Fishes’ Community First! Village. The Community Works Coordinator helps create, facilitate, and oversee programs that provide opportunities for formerly homeless individuals to realize and develop their God-given talents and earn dignified income from their work. This position supports the cultivation of the Art House’s positive, relational culture for neighbor artisans and volunteers, and also supports other Community Works programs.
The Community Works Coordinator will contribute to the development and production of various types of artwork and goods (including fine art, ceramics, jewelry, woodwork and other products) by relationally stewarding and partnering with neighbor artisans and volunteers who participate in the Community Works programs.
Community Works programs offer a safe and supportive environment that fosters healing and creative expression for our formerly homeless neighbors. Mobile Loaves & Fishes partners with Community First! artisans to assist with the promotion and sale of their work, supporting their efforts to earn a dignified income through the use of their unique, God-given talents.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Community Works Program Manager. Due to the nature and requirements of the position, some nights and weekends may be required. The Community Works Coordinator will office at Community First! Village in the Community Works Entrepreneur Hub located at 9301 Hog Eye Road, Austin, TX 78724.
