Join the Austin Young Chamber for this month’s Caffeine Connection, proudly sponsored by KUT Public Media Studios and hosted at Lazarus Brewing’s 6th Street location. For this special edition, we are moving away from traditional networking to bring you an engaging fireside chat and discussion featuring special guests from the acclaimed After the Flood podcast.

Elizabeth McQueen
Podcast Manager

Elizabeth McQueen is the manager of podcasts at KUT Public Media. She is also the co-host and co-producer of Pause/Play, as well as the producer for The Breaks, a hip-hop podcast, and After the Flood. Before moving to public radio and podcasting, McQueen was a professional musician who started and played for the band Elizabeth McQueen and the Firebrands and a member of the legendary Western swing band Asleep at the Wheel. 


Kailey Hunt
KUT News Williamson County reporter


She covers Williamson County and regional reporting, including investigative pieces on local energy and environmental topics like Central Texas data centers. She reported an episode on the July 2025 Sandy Creek flood for the podcast After the Flood.

 

An eighth-generation Texan, Kailey graduated from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in International Relations and Global Studies with a minor in Arabic (and was a member of the women’s rowing team!).

 

She has also played as a quarterback for the Austin Outlaws women's tackle football team.
