The work of nonprofits touches every aspect of our community, from human services and education to arts, culture, and civics. Your involvement and perspectives help shape the direction, capacity, and approach of how a nonprofit grows and serves our community...and at the end of the day, help our neighbors. Put simply, nonprofits need your help.

About Jon Dee Graham

Jon Dee Graham is a musician, guitarist and songwriter from Austin, TX. Graham was named the Austin Musician of the Year during the South by Southwest (SXSW) music conference in 2006. He has been inducted into the Austin Music Hall of Fame three times: as a solo artist in 2000, again in 2008 as a member of The Skunks, and again in 2009 as a member of the True Believers.

The True Believers, which included Alejandro Escovedo and his brother, Javier Escovedo, are widely considered by critics to be seminal figures in the fusion of literary songwriting and punk rock, a sound often referred to as cowpunk, a subset of alternative country.

Jon Dee Graham went on to play with John Doe, Exene Cervenka, James McMurtry, Eliza Gilkyson, Kelly Willis, John Hiatt, Michelle Shocked, Patty Griffin, Calvin Russell, and Lone Justice. His music has been featured in soundtracks such as Ladder 49 and Veronica Mars.

About the Local Artisans

Lena's Jewelry Box

Lena is a Native Texan who was born and raised in the outskirts of Dallas. She is of Punjabi descent and draws inspiration from both her cultures when putting together pieces.

Lena’s introduction to earrings started when she began converting earrings to clip on earrings herself before she had her ears pierced in her early 20's. Eventually she started to put together the earrings herself instead of just converting existing earrings. Due to her own experiences with metal allergies, Lena makes sure to use quality items when putting together her pieces to ensure comfort for her customers. All items in this shop are handcrafted using quality items by Lena in Austin, TX.

ENX Creative

ENX Creative is an intimate design & illustration studio based in Austin, TX. Founded by Elizabeth Núñez-Xoconoxtle, the Latinx brand offers art, home and paper goods.

Mobile Loaves & Fishes Community Market

Located in Community First! Village, the Community Market is a central hub where visitors and neighbors alike can find connection, convenience and keepsakes. Here you’ll find an eclectic array of unique art and handcrafted gifts made by formerly homeless artists who live in the Village, as well as branded shirts, hats, bags, mugs and more – what we call “Goodness Gear.”

Working out of the Community Works Entrepreneur Hub, neighbors living in the Village earn a dignified income using their God-given talents to produce original fine art, ceramic pottery, jewelry, and other wares. Every purchase helps support Community First! Village neighbors along with their continued efforts to lift more men and women up off the streets into a permanent home and supportive community.
