Black Lives Veggies - Volunteer Opportunity
Saturday, April 24, 2021 (9:00 AM - 11:00 AM) (CDT)
Description
The Leadership Service Committee is excited to partner with Black Lives Veggies for a morning of volunteering at their farm where we'll help to build garden beds and plant seedlings while learning about soil, nutrition, veggies and their seasons.
Black Lives Veggies is growing a movement one seedling at a time. Their mission to build ethical diversity into our local food system by providing P.O.C agriculture and entrepreneur education along with start-up material has helped people take ownership of their health in Austin.
Pre-registration is required. Limited volunteer spots available. Volunteer spots are available to AYC Members only. If you're not an AYC Member, please email AYC staff at info@austinyoungchamber.org.
To help ensure everyone's safety, the following guidelines must be followed:
- Participants must maintain 6ft. of distance between themselves and others.
- Participants must wear a mask covering their mouth and nose.
Please do not register if you are not feeling well, have tested positive for COVID-19, or feel you have been exposed to someone with COVID-19.
