Imagine Presents: Detour at the Austin Film Society

AYC takes us on a journey through time! Proudly partnering with the Austin Film Society, join us for the film society’s presentation of the newly restored, indelible noir classic film, Detour. Stick around afterward as the Ransom Centers’ Film Curator, Steve Wilson, presents a rare insight into the life of Detour’s leading actress, Ann Savage. 

Before the show, we’d like to invite AYC members to join us for drinks at 7:30pm at the bar located inside the AFS Cinema. We'll have a table tent so we can find each other, and then we'll head into the theatre a few minutes before the film begins.

To obtain the discount, use the code AYC. You can redeem the code when purchasing online on the Austin Film Society website or at the box office.

Instructions for applying the discount to an online ticket purchase:

1. From the dropdown menu under Showtimes on the Austin Film Society’s Detour event page, select “Wed Mar 20.”
2. Select “8:30 PM.”
3. On the next screen, enter the ticket amount in the Tickets box and select “Add to Cart.”
4. On the following screen, enter AYC into the discount code box and select “Apply.”
