About the Speaker

Max joined Amazon in May, where he is an Area Manager for Austin leading an operations team of 400+ focused on supporting expansion and growth of Amazon’s Global Specialty Fulfillment business. Most recently he served as the Senior Partnership Advisor for the McCombs School of Business. He joined that team from his previous Career and Talent Development Consultant role for the Texas McCombs MBA program. Max was a tremendous asset to McCombs since he joined on the Career Management team with his strengths in build lasting relationships with students, presenting with incredible energy and connecting with new employers effectively.

His career management journey began with multiple experiences in sports marketing and management with strong experiences building teams and culture. His successes have come from his abilities to develop genuine and lasting relationships with clients and team members with a positive energy and passion evident to others. His corporate expertise began in brand management, marketing, sales, and evolved into strategy. While obtaining his law and master’s degrees, he worked in admissions as a brand ambassador to build university branding. 

Max’s corporate contributions span over 11 years in roles with the University of Texas Intercollegiate Athletics, Dallas Cowboys, Spurs Sports and Entertainment, Cleveland Browns, Detroit Pistons, and Life Time Fitness. Throughout these experiences, Max served on a Staff Appreciation and Engagement Committee and became a guest lecturer in Sports Management at University of Texas at Austin while coaching many of these students in their career paths simultaneously.

This summer, Max is beginning the study of his Ph.D. in Higher Education Leadership and Policy at the University of Texas at Austin. He earned his JD and MBA degrees at Michigan State University with concentrations in Corporate Law, Marketing, and Strategic Management and a BA in Legal Studies and Political Science from University of Wisconsin-Madison. You can find Max working out, playing piano, hiking, trying new vegan cuisine, or attending sports events and concerts in his spare time.
