About

Jacob Acebo is a native of Corpus Christi, TX, and a graduate of Texas A&M University College Station. As a member of the Corps of Cadets, he served as the Commanding Officer of the Texas A&M Marine Recon Company before graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and commissioning as a 2nd Lieutenant in the United States Marine Corps in 2015.

After completing his initial training, Jacob earned the MOS of 0302, Marine Corps Infantry Officer, and served two deployments in the USINDOPACOM AOR with 3d Marines in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, from 2016-2019. He was then selected to serve as the Site Commander for 4th Force Reconnaissance Company, Detachment Hawaii, where he attended the Basic Reconnaissance Course and earned the BMOS of 0307, Expeditionary Ground Reconnaissance Officer. Jacob's service culminated in August 2021 when he was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and resigned his commission to transition to the private sector.

Upon transitioning, Jacob founded Silent Stag Woodwork & Design LLC in Georgetown, TX, with the mission of providing affordable custom-made farmhouse and industrial-style woodwork to clients. He also began documenting his experiences as an outdoorsman and became a brand ambassador for GRITR Gear. In August 2022, Jacob enrolled in St. Edward's University's MBA program and reinstated the Hilltop Student Veterans Association within the University, serving as the President of the Association. Jacob was then hired as a transformative consultant with the Travis County Veteran Service Office, where he continues to serve today. On May 16, 2023, Jacob is releasing his first published fiction novel, The Rider's Bane, available on Amazon and Ingramspark. 

With his background as a Marine Corps Officer and a successful entrepreneur, Jacob is a dynamic leader with a wealth of experience in leadership, management, and problem-solving
